Product Description

POLYBIT® POLYFOAM PIR-40BA is a two-component, Injection/pouring grade polyisocyanurate foam system developed for rigid PIR blocks, which has greatly increased resistance to burning and spread of flame. The composition of Polyfoam PIR-40BA, when subjected to fire, the outer surface forms a strong carbonaceous layer which retards further flame spread and can withstand temperature up to 140˚C. Polyfoam PIR-40BA is an HCFC-blown & CFC free, polymeric M.D.I based system for producing rigid PIR foam with a nominal core density of 40kg/m3 by injection/Pouring process. Grades, adjusted in reactivity, are available for both cold and hot condition.

How to Use

Surface Preparation

Apply wax / releasing agent inside the mold

Mixing

Take required quantity of Polyol and MDI based on the calculstion of mold dimension and density that you want to attain. Mix it with help of stirrer and pour it inside the mold and close it with the lid.

Curing

Demold the PU block and stack it aside for curing for atleast a period of 02 weeks before cutting. It is later cut in to desired shapes (pipe section or blocks) in CNC machine.
