      Product Description

      POLYBIT® Polytape AL is used for flashing, sealing and repair against ingress of water for mobile homes, small commercial roofs, residential porches and dormers, farm buildings, roof and gutter patching and on profile sheets. It can also be used as a flashing on up-stands. Avaialble Size: 10Mx100MMx1.2MM

      How to Use

      Surface Preparation

      The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly of all
      contaminants like dust, traces of curing
      compound, oil and grease. All surface
      imperfections, protrusions, structurally unsound
      and friable concrete must be removed and
      repaired with a suitable POLYCRETE* concrete
      repair mortar.

      Application

      The adhesion can be improved by apply
      POLYPRIME SB* @ 4- 6 m2/lt to a clean smooth and dry surface by brush,
      roller or spray. Allow the primer to dry prior to the
      application of the membrane. Unroll only the required length and cut the pieces
      to the desired shapes and size.

      Finishing

      Place the pieces of membrane on the area to be covered and check
      whether they match with the profile of the marked
      substrate. Peel off the release film from the self
      adhesive side and start unrolling the membrane
      and press it to the surface. Smoothen the
      membrane from the center to the edges with a
      wooden press in order to remove any entrapped
      air.

      1L per coat can cover approximately 4 sqm at 250 microns dry film thickness

      For a
      non slip finish, broadcast non slip Aggregate No 3 into the
      primer coat or first coat of Polypoxy FC @ 0.3kg/m² and
      remove excess prior to application of next coat.
