Epoxy repair mortar and adhesive

 

POLYPOXY CF is a 2 component non-flowing and non-sagging, thixotropic epoxy repair mortar and adhesive. The product is specially formulated with selected resins and quartz fillers for application in hot and tropical climatic conditions.

Step by step

SURFACE PREPARATION

Concrete, mortar, stone, brick surface: The substrate on which POLYPOXY CF will be applied shall be cleaned thoroughly of all loose particles, laitance, dust, oil, grease, paint. The surface should be free from standing water. Metal surface: Grit or sand blasting to remove all rust scales shall be carried out. Dew point conditions shall be avoided.

MIXING

POLYPOXY CF is supplied in two separate pails. The contents of Part B and PART A shall be taken out and mixed in a suitable container. If small quantity needs to be mixed then both the parts should be mixed in the ratio of 2:1 (A:B). The material shall be mixed thoroughly using a proprietary paddle mixer fixed to a slow speed drill till a homogenous and uniform color and consistency is achieved.

APPLICATION

As Repair Mortar: A suitable formwork shall be erected on the area which needs to be repaired if the area of repair is quite large. For small repairs and filling of cracks and blow holes can be done by the use of a putty knife or steel trowel.

As an Adhesive: The material can be applied by a trowel, spatula onto the surface in a thin layer when being applied as an adhesive. The material when applied shall be pressed firmly to ensure a proper adhesion and full contact with the substrate.

On vertical surface the material can be applied at a thickness of 15mm in a single layer. Additional layers can be applied only after the previous layer cure completely.
