Step by step

PROTECTIVE COATING

Prepare the substrate using a stiff broom to remove all dust and laitance. The base concrete should not be green and the surface dry before treatment. When applied to block or brick work, the mortar must be cured and dry before the application of Polyglow. Apply two coats of Polyglow by brush, allowing an interval of 24 hours between coatings.

Coverage is dependent on the surface texture and the porosity. As a damproofing membrane for solid concrete floors: one litre will cover approximately 2-3m2 per coat. As a treatment to below ground external masonry prior to back filling, one litre will cover approximately 2-4m2 per coat. For black painting of weathered asbestos cement panels– plasterboard panels, stone and other permeable facing panels, one litre will cover approximately 4–6 m2 per coat.

CURING COMPOUND

Immediately after the removal of shutters from the freshly laid concrete, apply POLYGLOW as the curing compound on the concrete surface by brush, roller or airless spray @5 m²/lt. However, prior to the application of the curing compound all traces of shuttering oil must be removed.

If required apply a second coat at the same coverage rate and only after the first coat has dried completely. This will increase the curing efficiency of the compound in areas of high drying winds.
