  • homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC flooring (sheets and tiles)
  • CV flooring
  • quartz vinyl tiles on absorbent substrates.

Not suitable for natural cork or PVC-laminated cork coverings. Ceresit K 150 meets the highest requirements for indoor air quality and environmental compatibility.

Step by step

Substrates must comply with the requirements of ATV DIN 18 365 “Flooring work”, BS CP 8203 & 8204 or comparable national standards. In particular, they must be clean, free from structural defects, firm, dry and free of substances which may impair ad hesion. After mechanical pretreatment (e.g. grinding/vacuuming), prepare the substrate with suitable Ceresit primers and levelling compounds so that it is ready to receive floor coverings. On mastic asphalt screeds and non absorbent mineral substrates apply a layer of at least 2 mm thickness.

Apply the adhesive evenly to the substrate with notched trowels A2 for coverings up to 2.5 mm thick, and B1 for tiles greater than 2.5 mm thick (e.g. Norament). To ensure good wetting of the backing of the floor covering, apply adhesive only to a substrate area that can be laid while the adhesive is still wet. After a short open time (approx. 10 minutes and/or do a finger test) lay in the floor covering in the wet adhesive bed,  avoiding any air pockets and rub down carefully. The covering material must be free of tension and lie flat on the substrate, otherwise weight it down. Avoid rucking at the seams. Protect floor coverings from exposure to direct sunlight and the penetration of moisture (e.g. due to cleaning) particularly during the setting phase. Follow the floor covering manufacturers’ instructions for installation. Allow at least 24 hours before welding the seams.
